Competition in this world never ends, I now firmly believe. It never ceases to amaze me how there is a constant comparison or ranking to determine who is the best and why. I find it really interesting because you'd think after finding your niche in the world, you would be comfortable and just let things be. However, pride always seems to trump common sense at some point, and you suddenly have to know if you're better than everyone else.
I love competition. I hate losing. Sometimes I just wish I didn't put so much stock in the competition, got control of my pride, and was content with how the cards fall at the end of everything. Maybe one day.
